FED invest is honoured and excited to announce a strategic partnership with the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) to advance financial inclusion and support entrepreneurship across Albania. Through this collaboration, we aim to strengthen access to financial services and financial education, especially in underserved rural areas.
Thanks to a €10 million loan extended to FED Invest and backed by a guarantee from the CEB’s Social Impact Account, this programme loan will support employment and income-generating activities for vulnerable groups. It is specifically designed to facilitate access to financial resources for microbusinesses and individuals with limited or no access to the traditional banking system.
The CEB loan will help finance FED invest’s microfinance operations, with a strong emphasis on rural communities. The project is expected to:
- Assist over 3,000 micro-enterprises and farms
- Contribute to the creation of at least 250 new jobs
Additionally, a €49,000 technical assistance grant from the Slovak Inclusive Growth Account will support FED invest’s financial literacy programmes for rural residents, particularly women, thereby fostering informed financial decision-making and resilience.
Final Beneficiaries: Microentrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs, microenterprises, and smallholder farmers across Albania’s rural areas.
This partnership marks a significant step in FED invest’s mission to promote economic empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, and social cohesion in Albania.
